I always like to start these reviews off by saying that no supplement can cover up a bad diet. People who’re serious about optimizing their body and mind are serious about their dietary choices.
That said, we can’t ignore the fact that it’s very hard, if not impossible, to get perfect nutrition every day from food alone. That’s just the reality of the world we live in today.
Even if you manage to eat all the right foods, things like factory farming and soil depletion mean some of these foods might be poor in nutrients.
The role of a good multivitamin is to ensure you have all of your nutritional bases covered. And in my opinion, it doesn’t get much better than Performance Lab’s new NutriGenesis Multi, which comes in two versions, each specifically tailored for men and women.
As you’ll see in this Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi Review, the formula is backed by research, cleanest quality and definitely contains all the right ingredients we look for in a supplement. It’s the most complete multi I’ve tried.
As a side note, this is our 2020 review of Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi, which was formerly known as Performance Lab Whole-Food Multi.
Review Intro: What Does Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi Do?
Here’s our complete Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi Review. Which, in our humble opinion, is the gold standard supplement available on the market right now.
It’s produced by a specialist company Opti Nutra, and was designed to meet the unique needs of both men and women. In other words, you have two different versions of this product available.
You can check both versions on their official website: www.performancelab.com
In this review, we’ll take a close look at both – the NutriGenesis Men’s Multi and the NutriGenesis Women’s multi.
Crucial features of this multivitamin:
- A foundation for complete nutrition – Provides your body and your brain with what they need for optimal performance.
- Natural Quality – Nature identical ingredients that are easier to utilize by your body, delivering superior results than synthetic formulas.
- Immune, Nervous, Digestive, Endocrine and Cardiovascular system support – Covers the main aspects of good overall health.
- Targeted Hormonal Support – Customized formulas for Men and Women to deliver the best nutrients for both genders.
So, how does Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi work exactly? What makes it stand out from all the other vitamin supplements? And why are there so many reviews and testimonials of it online?
Below you’ll find a short summary of our review, followed by a more detailed breakdown.
Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi Review at Glance
When it comes to multivitamins, this one tops the charts. The quality is outstanding, the Performance Lab team has developed a process for growing their vitamins on probiotic bacteria.
Meaning, your body is getting highly bioavailable, nature-identical nutrients with their essential cofactors for absorption.
One downside is that it has very little magnesium – since it takes up a lot of space in the capsule, they focused on other essential ingredients. The good news is, their Performance Lab Sleep Formula contains high amounts of premium-quality magnesium, which is the perfect time to be taking this supplement.
On the whole though, NutriGenesis Multi is by far the most innovative and effective option on the market right now. You can see it direct at the Performance Lab website here.
- Full transparency on the ingredients and their doses
- Highly bioavailable nutrients (including the B vitamins folate, P-5-P, and methylcobalamin)
- Eco-friendly NutriCaps made of fermented tapioca
- Free of GMOs, contaminants, pesticides, herbicides, microbes, unnecessary fillers and banned substances
- 3rd party tested to confirm purity, potency and bioactivity after encapsulation
- Worldwide shipping
- Great customer service and money-back guarantee (minus shipping)
- Low magnesium
- More costly to produce than generic multis
- Only available on the official website

Is Multivitamin Necessary?
The question I keep seeing is, “do I really need a multivitamin?”
Well, technically, no, you don’t need a multivitamin. If you exercise, get enough sunshine and fresh air every day, and most importantly, eat all the right foods (in the right amounts), then you will be totally fine without using a vitamin supplement.
But for optimal health and performance? It could be a smart choice.
Here’s some food for thought:
Research published by Mayo Clinic showed that less than 3% of U.S. citizens meet the basic requirements for a healthy lifestyle. They don’t smoke or drink, they eat 5 or more servings of vegetables per day, they get 7-9 hours of sleep every night and stick to a lot of other healthy lifestyle habits.
Now, let’s assume you’re among those 3 percent. The problem is, most of the food today is grown on nutrient-deprived soil. And a lot of that food has been modified to grow faster, so it doesn’t even have time to draw what little nutrients there is in soil.
Another percentage of nutrients is lost through processing, transportation, storage, and cooking. One concerning study showed that even young people, who have a faster metabolism and eat more food on average, only 1% of them are getting optimal amounts of nutrients.
Interesting fact: You’d need to eat about 26 apples grown today to get the same nutrition of one apple grown back in 1914.
So, what’s the best thing to do?
Obviously, it’s to give your body what’s missing by using a multivitamin supplement. But not all multis are made equal.
In fact, most of what you’ll find in supermarkets, drug stores, or even vitamin shops are worthless. So how do you tell a good one from bad one? It’s not easy, here’s criteria we use when testing supplements at Valentino’s Naturals:
Our Testing Criteria for a Multivitamin
Our first and the most important criteria for a multivitamin is that it has to be 100% natural.
So no synthetic additives, fillers, colorants, or other chemicals.
Any supplement we test has to be completely clear of any unproven ingredients that could cause side effects during our trial period (which typically lasts 2-4 weeks).
We really go deep in our reviews at Valentino’s Naturals, but to briefly sum up what we want from a supplement:
- Good brand authority and clean track record
- Short-term benefits
- Long-term benefits
- Extremely low risk of side effects
- Optimal serving sizes
- Ingredient quality (patented ingredients score higher, but they’re not mandatory)
- Manufacturing standards (is it produced in cGMP and FDA approved facilities? Is it 3rd party tested?)
- Our personal experience
Benefits of Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi
According to Performance Lab’s marketing material on their website, this multi will provide foundational support for long-range health and performance.
Both women’s and men’s stack deliver the same crucial benefits:
- Cardiovascular support
- Hormonal support (natural testosterone support in Men’s formula, estrogen support in Women’s formula)
- Immune system support
- Improved nervous system function and repair
- Bone & joint strength support
- Better skin, hair and nails
- Contributes to good long-term wellness
Additionally, Performance Lab emphasizes the quality of the ingredients in their flagship Multi. This is their main selling point; the key separator from your standard multivitamin supplement. We’ll talk more about ingredient quality in this product a bit later.
For now though, this appears to be a very impressive multivitamin. Performance Lab’s team has gone the extra mile to make a name for themselves in the fitness and wellness niche.
But are there any downsides to this supplement? Is it really as good as it’s marketed? And is it worth the money? Let’s dive deeper into this Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi review to find out!
The NutriGenesis Multi covers a complete palette of ingredients that help to nourish your body and mind.
As you’ve seen above, Performance Lab uses NutriGenesis technology, which involves nature-identical vitamins and minerals which are paired with their natural cofactors.
What all of this means is that your body recognizes these nutrients the same as the ones from food.
Add to this that each NutriGenesis Multi formula is dosed uniquely to give both men and women what their bodies need to optimize their physiology and hormone levels.
As far as we know, there’s currently no other multivitamin going this far at the moment, with the same level of precision and quality.

Our Take on Men’s Formula
The Men’s NutriGenesis Multi is not your typical multivitamin. Performance Lab has really raised the standard here.
Things that stuck out to us the most include:
- Unique manufacturing process – every single vitamin and mineral in this product comes in its most natural form. We imagine the only more natural way to get these nutrients would be to actually eat more food!
- Grown on probiotic bacteria – Each ingredient is not only as natural as possible but also highly absorbable and easily digested.
- Dosages – Unlike many multivitamins, Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi didn’t go crazy on ingredient doses. This product has 100% of your recommended daily intake of 17 different nutrients. They’ve placed focus on the micronutrients most essential to male health.
This formula provides you with good amounts of boron, zinc and vitamin D to help maintain healthy testosterone levels.
Vitamins K2 and E contribute to cardiovascular health, while vitamin A helps you with vision, tissue repair and skin quality.
This makes NutriGenesis Multi an ideal supplement for any man who wants to enjoy a good lifestyle.
Basically, this product gives you a solid foundation, on top of which you can easily add other supplements for targeted support.
Our Thoughts on Women’s Formula
The NutriGenesis Women’s formula is just as well-designed as the men’s option. It provides optimal doses of the most important nutrients for our bodily functions.
This product supplies you with perfect amounts of B vitamins to support your energy, immune system, cardiovascular health and DNA synthesis.
Vitamin K2 is drafted in to promote bone formation and joint repair. Meanwhile, vitamins A, C, and E in Women’s NutriGenesis Multi contribute to overall health and wellness – supporting proper eye function, skin quality and anti aging, thanks to their antioxidant properties.
Finally, you get a nice clean dose of chromium, an essential mineral that helps you control blood sugar levels and minimize unhealthy food cravings.
With this kind of formula, Performance Lab have got all the important bases covered.
While it has the same core ingredients in the same doses as the Men’s option, NutriGenesis Women’s Multi does have a few ingredients differently dosed, and an additional ingredient – iron!
The doses of zinc and boron are lower because women do not need to make as much testosterone. Performance Lab’s team has kept all of this in mind, offering a supplement that is truly tailored to women’s specific needs.
Magnesium dose is too low, and most of us already don’t get enough of this vital nutrient.
But once again Performance Lab has taken everything into account here.
The magnesium that’s “missing” in NutriGenesis Multi is found in Performance Lab’s Sleep supplement. Which is when you should be taking your daily magnesium anyways.
How to Take (Dosage Instructions)
The recommended Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi dosage is 4 capsules per day. It’s suggested that you take 2 capsules in the morning and other 2 in the afternoon for best results.
Some of the ingredients in NutriGenesis Multi are fat-soluble. So make sure to take this supplement with a meal that contains healthy fats.
Alternatively, you can take it with a spoonful of high-quality coconut or MCT oil. Performance Lab have their own premium version of MCT Oil, you can see it by clicking here.
What Does Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi Feel Like?
Everyone from our team loves this multi [Editor: Well, except for Andy, he doesn’t take supplements!]. We take 2 capsules in the morning, and 2 in the afternoon with a tablespoon of Performance Lab’s MCT Oil.
30-40 minutes later it kicks in and launches our day. The afternoon dose helps up stay productive for the rest of our day.
On a personal note (Valentino), I’ve noticed an obvious difference since I’ve started using Performance Lab Multi. The effects are cleaner, my mood is slightly better, and my sleep has improved too.
During our testing of NutriGenesis Multi, we haven’t come across any side effects. Thinking about it, it would be a bit odd to have issues with this product. The ingredients are natural and optimally dosed. P.S. if you’re wondering, it doesn’t make your pee turn yellow!
Obviously, if you do have any concerns, we suggest talking to your healthcare professional for advice. This review is for entertainment and informational purposes only!
Price & Value For Money
I think that Performance Lab’s NutriGenesis is an excellent value for money.
One bottle will set you back by $39.
That works out to be $1.33 a day.
And, if you order a 3-month supply, you get one box of Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi for free. So that’s 4 boxes for $117. Or about a dollar a day.
When you consider the quality that goes into this product, from A-Z, we feel it’s worth the money.
We also understand that we get what we pay for. Generally, cheap multivitamins from your local supermarket are low quality products. The amounts that they show on the label don’t necessarily end up in your bloodstream; most of it is wasted down the drain.
Another thing we’ve learned with Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi is that it saves us from a lot of additional costs.
Instead of having to buy additional B complex, or selenium or zinc supplement separately, we get all of these in their most bioavailable forms, and in optimal doses, for fraction of the price.
Everything taken into account, Performance Lab NutriGenesis actually saves us time and money in the long-run.

Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi Review Conclusion
So that brings us to the end of our Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi review.
Much like other Performance Lab products, the key selling point of NutriGenesis Multi is the quality of its ingredients.
Performance Lab’s nutrients are grown in strict conditions to mimic how they occur in nature. This is very rare to see; most supplements are synthesized or extracted.
In fact, Opti Nutra have patented the process of growing vitamins and minerals for their Performance Lab Formulas. The end result is a highly-bioavailable, naturally-occurring, probiotic form of the nutrient.
Another big plus of this product is how it’s tailored for men’s and women’s unique needs – having both Men’s and Women’s version of the multivitamin.
Although it doesn’t have high dose of magnesium, we do appreciate that they’ve included it in their Performance Lab Sleep formula, which is the optimal time to take magnesium anyway.
The cost of $1.30 per day, and the fact that you can get 1 extra bottle of NutriGenesis Multi for free when you order 3 boxes, is a nice bonus for us.
On the whole, it’s a very impressive supplement and can even be stacked with other supplements for specific goals. For example, Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi+Sleep, or Performance Lab NutriGenesis Multi+Mind for cognitive health.
