The 3 Best Brain Health Supplements

We’ve picked the top three nootropic stacks that are available to you right now for cognitive support.

The Ingredients

qualia mind ingredients facts label

As you can see, Qualia has loads of ingredients. While the formula isn’t perfect, we’re still impressed with it. There are plenty of great choices in here. Below we’ll see what each of these ingredients does and if it can help your mental performance:

1. Acetyl-L-Carnitine

This is a strong addition to any nootropic stack. In essence, ALCAR is a small molecule that’s called an amino acid. It works in two main ways. First off, it staves off cognitive decline, boosts mood, and enhances overall brain power. (1) Besides that, it helps your body tap into its fat stores more efficiently, which is a great ‘side-effect’ for fitness enthusiasts.

2. Bacopa Monnieri

Bacopa has long been used to help with various things, from dementia to depression. Qualia Uses a premium Bacopa Monnieri extract with a full spectrum of its beneficial compounds that help to protect the brain and enhance your recollection ability. (2)

3. Rhodiola Extract

This is an herb that grows in cold and harsh climates of Euroasia. Its root is revered for its powerful benefits on the body and mind. Rhodiola is widely known as an adaptogen meaning it makes you more resilient to stress. Rhodiola has also long been used for fatigue and productivity. (3)

4. Artichoke Leaf & Stem Extract

Some communities use Artichoke leaves to treat snake bites. This makes perfect sense as Artichokes contain compounds that help the liver clear out toxins, lower pain, and manage blood pressure. While this ingredient doesn’t have nootropic effects, it’s great for minimizing the risk of stomach discomfort or other side effects from other nootropics in Qualia.

5. Uridine Monophosphate

A powerful brain booster that stimulates nerve impulses in your brain. This goes a long way in enhancing your long-term cognitive performance.

6. DL-Phenylalanine

This belongs among nootropics for euphoria. In some cases it’s also used to alleviate depression. On top of this, DL-Phenylalanine is used for other things like anxiety and sleep disturbances.

7. Taurine

If you’ve ever read the label of an energy drink, chances are that you’ve seen Taurine on the list there. Taurine is a simple amino acid that improves your nervous system and lowers blood pressure. It’s also an antioxidant which means it can protect your brain cells from damage.

8. Alpha GPC

This is a source of choline, an essential nutrient that turns into acetylcholine in your brain. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that does an amazing job when it comes to boosting your mental energy and cognition.

9. L-Theanine

L-Theanine is one of the most well-known nootropics. Found in green tea and certain species of mushrooms, L-Theanine promotes relaxation without making you drowsy. The feeling is similar to that of meditation. Theanine also boosts your focus, especially on challenging tasks. By taking L-Theanine on a regular, you’ll feel more alert and less tired. (4)

10. Citicoline (or Cognizin)

This is another source of choline, similar to Alpha GPC. Choline is a nutrient found in high amounts in egg yolks. In addition to supporting long-term brain health, choline also aids ATP energy production which is needed for good memory and focus.

11. Phosphatidylserine

Phosphatidylserine or PS makes up around 15% of fats in your brain, and its benefits are numerous. PS makes your brain cells more fluid, leading to better transmission of signals between them. The only nootropic with a FDA health claim, it’s been shown to promote nerve growth and support cognitive health even into old age.

12. Mucuna Pruriens Extract

Can pleasure and motivation grow on a tree? If the Mucuna tree’s effects on the brain are anything to go by, then yes, most definitely. Mucuna Pruriens has seeds that increase dopamine levels in your brain. This creates a feel-good sensation, and is why it’s been used by people with Parkinson’s disease.

13. Theobromine

Theobromine is what gives you that euphoric-kind-of-feeling when you bite into dark chocolate. It’s a great choice for a nootropic stack because it stimulates your body but without the typical ‘energy crash’ that caffeine causes. On top of this, Theobromine promotes blood flow in the brain.

14. DHA

This is an essential omega-3 fatty acid that improves your brain’s signaling. The fact that your brain’s fats are mostly made of DHA speaks volumes about its importance as a nootropic. DHA helps create new brain cells along with potentially protecting from mental decline and depression. (5)

15. Caffeine Anhydrous

Love it or hate it, caffeine is considered an effective nootropic due to its psychoactive effects. Its ability to boost mood, alertness, and reaction time is great if you can tolerate it. For some people, unfortunately, caffeine causes more harm than good – leading to jitters, anxiety episodes, racing heart, and other side effects. Luckily for them Qualia Mind comes in the caffeine-free version too.

16. Coleus Forskohlii

You’ll more often find this ingredient in fat burner supplements. It is shown to boost the activity of a molecule called cAMP in the body, which can help with weight loss. However, many people don’t know that Coleus Forskohlii (or simply Forskolin) also promotes synapse growth, and does a great job of supporting long-term brain health.

17. Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract

Ginkgo Biloba is one of the oldest trees on earth. Its leaves contain antioxidants that are known to improve blood circulation and brain function. From personal experience, I can testify to this – it’s one of the most effective nautral cognitive enhancers I’ve taken.

18. Pyrroloquinoline Quinone

PQQ is another highly effective antioxidant. It not only helps protect brain cells from damage, but also boosts the growth of new mitochondria. On a cellular level, mitochondria are your energy powerhouses. Ultimately, PQQ has the potential to directly boost your long-term memory, brainpower and productivity.

19. Huperzia Serrata Extract (Huperzine A)

Although popular, this nootropic isn’t one of our favorite ones. It has some unique abilities which make it easily absorbable in the brain and effective at raising acetylcholine levels. Hoewever, the long-term effects of Huperzine A are understudied. Some reports show side effects with prolonged use (6 or more months without a break). However, it appears to be harmless when cycled on and off. (6)

Other Ingredients

Most of these are vitamins and other nutrients. They were included with the purpose of covering the basic nutrient requirements of your brain.

  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin D3
  • Niacin
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B12
  • Pantothenic Acid
  • Organic Rice Concentrate
  • Organic Rice Extract Blend
  • Silicone Dioxide
  • Vegetable Cellulose

Is This the Best Ingredient Formula Around?

Qualia Mind is probably the best short-term brain booster on the market right now. However, we don’t currently rate it as the #1 nootropic formula for long-term brain optimization. It contains loads of effective nootropics, antioxidants, and nutrients that will make you more productive, increase your focus, and lift your mood. However, some of the ingredients need more long-term research. Only then will we be able to say with certainty that it’s the best nootropic stack overall.

My Experience With Qualia

The dosage suggestions are 7 capsules per day. The reason why you should take so many pills is that Qualia contains 28 nootropics.

At first, I tried taking just 3-5 capsules per day. The caps weren’t too big, so it was easy to swallow them. For the first few days, all I felt was a slight ‘tickle’ from the caffeine.

It wasn’t until I upped the dose to the recommended 7 capsules that it really kicked in. It worked best when I took it with some healthy fats. Some compounds in Qualia Mind, such as Bacopa, absorb best when paired with fat.

After a week of using Qualia, I can say for sure that I felt a significant lift in energy, focus, and mood. It didn’t help me much with memory, but I was able to do more work in the short-term. I also didn’t have any energy crashes, thanks to the light dose of caffeine in the product.

As for side effects, I didn’t really felt any, except for a slight stomach discomfort whenever I took it on an empty stomach. Other than that, it was a great experience overall!

How to Take (Dosage Instructions)

The recommended Qualia Mind dosage is 7 capsules per day. However, the optimal dose depends on your chemistry, body weight, lifestyle, and goals. That said, the instructions clearly state to never take more than 12 capsules per day, or exceed 10 capsules at once.

The best way to find your ideal dosage is to start low. Perhaps 2-3 capsules at once and see how you react. Then go from there until you get your sweet spot.

In terms of cycling Qualia Mind, you should take two days off per week. You may also want to take an entire week off after taking it for 4-6 weeks.

Side Effects

Qualia Mind side effects – are there any? It would be a lie to say there are none. That’s because the results of using it won’t be the same for everyone.

Bear in mind that this product comes with 28 ingredients, some of which have lack of studies on their long-term effects.

There’s a chance of experiencing stomach discomfort when taking Qualia Mind capsules on an empty stomach. Also, if you don’t react well to any of the ingredients in Qualia’s formula, then you might want to look for other options.

With all of that said, Qualia Mind is safe for most people, and shouldn’t cause any side effects 99% of the time so long as you follow the dosage recommendations. As always, check with your doctor before taking any new supplement. This post is not medical advice!

Price & Value For Money

A bottle of Qualia Mind has 154 capsules and costs $139 for the first purchase and $119 from thereon. However, you can save 50% and get Qualia Mind for $69.50 on your first purchase when you subscribe on their official website. Plus you get fast shipping and excellent customer service. We do think that price is high, but considering the depth of this formula, it’s a good value for money nonetheless.

Where to Buy Qualia Mind?

Convinced by Qualia Mind? If yes, you can either buy it on Amazon or the official website.

It’s no doubt that Qualia is one of the most advanced nootropic stacks currently available. It’s a premium product with a premium price tag. If you can afford it, it’s well worth a go.

Qualia Mind Review Conclusion

If you’re tired of taking ‘brain health supplements’ that hardly do anything, it’s time to give something more serious a shot. Qualia Mind is arguably the most advanced nootropic available at the moment, and it’s in our opinion the current most effective nootropic for short-term mental effects. Here’s what we like about it the most:

  • Developed by scientists
  • 28 High-grade ingredients
  • Strong and effective (it works!)
  • Boosts energy, productivity, short-term memory, focus, and mental clarity
  • Fast shipping
  • Excellent online reviews & company reputation
On the flip side, Qualia does have a few drawbacks too. The biggest one is its premium price. You can slash that down by 50% on your first purchase though. Just subscribe to their official website and you get it for $69.50 instead of the regular $119. Qualia also might not be the best long-term solution; for that goal, we recommend another product.

If you don’t like caffeine in Qualia, they offer a caffeine-free version too. In either case, it’s well worth a shot if you’re willing to pay the premium price. Otherwise, it’s a 9/10 from us!
